The PIBBS FM3830A Foot Bath Massager is a revolutionary product that brings comfort, relief and relaxation to a world that suffers from tired and achy feet. The unit is made of easy to clean plastic, but don’t let the simplicity fool you. The FM3830A is a feature packed massager whose looks belie the many advantages that lay inside.
Foot pain is something that every person who has walked has or will experience in their lifetime. Since our feet bear the brunt of the weight of our bodies and can withstand immeasurable force, it’s important to keep them as healthy as we can. Lucky for us, foot health can be maintained by soothing measures like massage and soaking.
Massage therapy has long been a provider of relief from lower foot and leg pain for centuries. Combined with powerful vibration and heat therapy, the PIBBS Foot Bath Massager unit becomes a powerhouse for offering a relaxing massage.
This salon grade massager boasts enough power and features to compete with any machine you’ll find at your local pedicurists, only with the advantage of being able to use it in the comfort of your own home.
And it’s not just to provide comfort from everyday pain. A bath massage has been used as a homeopathic remedy for physical ailments like Plantar Fasciitis and more. Most medicines can have unknown and damaging side effects, and surgery can be invasive, and sometimes the recovery takes years. By pinpointing certain points in your nerve system, you can stimulate the body’s natural healing properties and avoid having to harm your body more than necessary.
Also, a vibrating massage bath, such as this one, is a much more economical investment than having to pay monthly for expensive medicines and physical therapies, or having to pay exorbitant medical bills for surgery.
The makers of the unit have thought of everything. The white, plastic tub sits on rubberized stands for a no slip grip. At 14” wide, 15” long and 6.5” deep, the handy and compact unit can fit a wide array of foot sizes comfortably. There is a detachable splash guard to prevent your carpet or floor from getting wet and a waterproof cord to prevent any shock or damage.
One of the standouts of this unit is the three included settings. Setting 1 is for No Heat with massage. You can fill the basin with already heated water (which is suggested) if available. The unit does have a heater and it heats up quickly so even if you do use it to heat up the water, if it becomes too intense, setting 1 will still deliver the vibrating massage and acupressure bubbles to round out the experience.
Setting 2 includes heat with bubbles. Air bubbles are able to create variations of gentle massage by forcing air to hit pads of your feet. It’s a simple phenomenon, but one with big results. This touchless massage gives just enough relaxing pressure to soften the skin and provide a beneficial type of tenderization to the tight muscles in the arch or between the toes of your foot. It’s focused pressure without being overwhelming to the senses makes for an enjoyable experience. Air bubbles are also known to stimulate certain Reflexology zones that can provide relief to other parts of your body.
The third setting combines all three modes of heat, vibrating massage and air bubbles. This trifecta creates a vibrant, rolling massage that hits every area of your foot at once. The heat softens your muscles and relieves tension from your ache-filled feet, the vibrations loosen up the muscles while the massaging air bubbles provide stimulation and pressure which elongates your pleasure and relaxation.
Many use the unit with bath salts and oils which are recommended due to the bath being so easy to clean. There’s even an internal drainage system that lets you drain the water from the bath in an easy and hassle free manner.
When you receive the unit, you’ll get a manual and a special band that acts as a retainer for the power cord. There are tabs on the legs so when the unit is not in use; the band helps the power cord wrap up conveniently and stay out of the way for quick and easy storage. You’ll also see a pair of foot shaped rubber-like pads whose use we’ll discuss in detail in a moment.
One of the first things you’ll notice on the unit is the hard, plastic nubs that line the bottom of the tub. Along with the vibrations, these little nodules deliver pointed pressure to several spots of your feet. Pressing the feet into them only intensifies the feeling and gives you the real sensation of acupressure massage.
If you follow Reflexology, a system of massage used to relieve tension and treat illness by manipulating the body’s internal system of nerve connections you’ll see how the ability to apply pressure to these points in your nervous systems is a huge bonus offered by this unit.
Along with the vibrations, it’s possible to customize a powerful experience with benefits to your entire body. However, this little machine is pretty ingenious, so if you feel the nubs are too overwhelming, that's where the rubber pads come in which lessen the intensity and provide a smooth surface to enjoy with your massage.
There’s also a filter that catches things like fuzz while the water is being circulated. It’s easily removable for convenient cleaning and helps maintain the longevity of your machine. There is a plug to use as a drain, but most have expressed no difficulty with simply dumping the water out. To clean the unit, simply fill it with a dilution of a disinfectant like Lysol before rinsing thoroughly. This will keep your unit clean and ready to use for years to come.
There are temperature controlled heaters that run the full foot length across the bottom of the unit. These heaters will maintain your desired water temperature for the duration of the massage meaning you won’t have to worry about the water cooling off too quickly right as you’re in the middle of a comfortable massage. And the additional settings that provide massage without heat allow you to keep the water from getting too uncomfortably hot. Another guard is the combination of heat with air bubble massage as it prevents “hot spots” from forming and encourages circulation.
The settings on the FM3830A are set with your complete comfort in mind and you can move between them to customize the best settings for you. For example, say you start out with tap water and fill the tub. If you turn on the heat, within about 10 – 15 minutes you’ll have a soothing hot bath at the ready. Go ahead and feel free to add in Epsom salts or essential oil treatments. You’ll be glad you did.
While you initially soak your feet and get used to the temperature, you can choose between vibrating massage or gentle rolling waves and air pressure. If after a while you want a different experience, simply turn the knob to what you desire. If the water gets too hot, you can still get the same great massage without the added heat, and if the water starts to cool, simply turn it back to a heated setting. This unit is easy and convenient while delivering much-needed comfort and spa-like relaxation.
This unit has it all! It even comes with additional accessories that enhance the massage features to provide extra stimulation to fallen arches or aching bunions. The FM3830A with designed with total relaxation in mind and delivers at every turn.
PIBBS has become known as a reliable and dependable manufacturer of salon and spa items. Making quality units that pack a lot of power into small, portable units is just what they do. Many other similar units are known for being unable to retain heat during a massage session but you won’t make such a complaint with this device. The power of the PIBBS Foot Bath Massager FM3830A is unmatched, and its ability to provide you with a spa-like experience in the comfort of your own home is a satisfying mixture of luxury and convenience.
